Description
Sorbothane is a viscoelastic polymer whose ability to dissipate kinetic energy into heat makes it an excellent material for treating irritating, troublesome noise due to motion-induced vibrations.
AudioQuest Sorbothane Self-Adhesive Sheets are easy to use. Tap gently on component chassis and listen for resonant ringing. Use scissors to cut AudioQuest Sorbothane Self-Adhesive Sheets to desired size, remove adhesive backing, and place Sheets strategically inside or outside component chassis. Cut into eight equally sized pieces and place under each corner of two loudspeakers to prevent sympathetic vibration. Cut smaller pieces and use them on phono cartridge bodies and tonearm headshells to improve definition and imaging.
AudioQuest Sorbothane Self-Adhesive Sheets let you place effective damping wherever it’s needed. Wrap AudioQuest Sorbothane Self-Adhesive Sheets around bicycle handlebars, affix them to rattly panes of glass, attach them to noisy refrigerator panels… Use AudioQuest Sorbothane Self-Adhesive Sheets wherever you want to reduce energy transfer.
